Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer well recognized for her highly laudable performance in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The movie Piano won her several awards which included an Oscar. Actresses have an extensive career of involvement in Broadway as well as Off-Broadway projects. In her early years, Helen Keller was her favorite character in a 5th class production. Following a bout of mumps, she went blind on the other side of her ear. This did not stop her ambition to pursue a career as an actress. She studied drama at college after which she moved to Pittsburgh to New York City to follow her dreams. She was introduced to Beth Henley in an elevator and they collaborated on Broadway Crimes of the Heart the first movie Hunter made. As she relocated from New York to Los Angeles, Hunter tried to land film roles. A supporting role was found for her in Swing Shift. In the three decades since she was a part of the film Holly Hunter has been in many films, series and television films. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and also an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
